About Delta
Delta Development Group, Inc. was founded in 1988. Delta is a consulting firm that provides information technology, economic development planning and real estate development consulting services. The I.T. consulting practice focuses on the development of customized software applications and I.T. strategic consulting. Our target audience is State and Local Government with an emphasis on emergency management solutions.
Position Description
This internship position works as part of a team to analyze client requirements, procedures, and problems to bring innovative and realistic technology solutions that meet our clients’ business needs. It requires the ability to communicate with users and administrators. Knowledge of web development tools and database applications are required. Knowledge of Microsoft development platform and GIS is a bonus.
Summary of Position
The general work responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Assist in developing software applications for our clients and internal use
- Research technology
- Research potential clients
- Prepare technical documentation for applications
- Test applications
Education and Training
The I.T. Intern must possess the following essential knowledge, skills and abilities:
- A level of personal communication sufficient enough to foster relationships with customers, business partners, and internal staff.
- Knowledge of core IT competencies and practices.
- Ability to rapidly learn new technologies.
